Major Jewish organizations will host Governor Deval Patrick in a rally to support Israel’s attacks on civilians in Gaza <http://www.cjp.org/page.aspx?id=258908> . Come out to show attendees and media that the Jewish community is not a monolithic voice, and that we demand compassion for civilian deaths in Israel AND in Palestine. Killing children in Gaza will not protect children in Sderot.
We imagine that tensions will be high, and ask that protesters remain calm and non-confrontational. In order to effectively communicate our message at this specific event, we are making signs in advance. If you choose to join us, please respect our strategic messaging. Get in touch with us if you have questions about this decision.
Here are our messages:
How does killing children in Gaza protect children in Sderot?
Gather for peace, don’t rally for war
Ceasefire now!
Freedom from fear for Israelis AND Palestinians
Gather for peace, don’t rally for war
Ceasefire now!
Freedom from fear for Israelis AND Palestinians
Please also support the rally organized by Northeastern Students for Justice in Palestine this Tuesday, November 20 at 7:00 in Copley Square.
